As we all know many states have reduced the syllabus for the current academic year due to the ongoing coronavirus Pandemic. Following states like Harayana and Uttar Pradesh have already announced the reduction in the syllabus. Maharashtra government has also finally officially announced the reduction in portion. The Maharashtra Government had earlier cancelled all the final year examinations but according to the verdict passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay final year examinations will be held in the first week of October and the same has been notified to the students. Along with this, The Central Board of Secondary Education had taken the decision of reducing the syllabus of the students of class 9-12 on 7th July 2020 due to the delay at the beginning of the new academic year.

The decision is now officially approved and announced by the Education Minister through her tweet. By reducing the syllabus the burden of online studying will be lessened and students can study important and prescribed syllabus making it less stressful for the students. The Maharashtra Government has also launched 4 new YouTube channels for encouraging the students those studying in Marathi and Urdu medium.

India’s Pride – Fatest Human Calculator In World

Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash, a 20-year-old boy from Hyderabad becomes the fastest human calculator in the world after winning first-ever gold for India in Mental Calculation World Championship at Mind Sports Olympiad (MSO).

The MSO is the most prestigious international competition for games of mental skill and mind sports which is held in London every year. It was first held in 1998. The title of the fastest human calculator in the world was once accorded to the mathematical genius, Shakuntala Devi. Mental Calculation World Championship was held virtually amid the pandemic, so as to avoid human contact. As per several reports, a total of 30 participants up to 57 years of age took part in MSO. The championship had participants from 13 nations including UK, Germany, UAE, France, Greece, and Lebanon. Leading with 65 points, Bhanu Prakash won the competition, followed by a Lebanese contender in the second position and a UAE contender, who bagged the third position.

As per several reports, the championship was held in London on Independence Day this year. Bhanu Prakash is a student of Mathematics (Hons.) at Delhi University’s St Stephen College and holds world records along with 50 Limca records for being the fastest human calculator in the world. These records were earlier held by Math maestros such as Scott Flansburg and Shakuntala Devi.

while speaking to ANI about his achievements, Bhanu Prakash said that he holds 4 world records and 50 Limca records for being the fastest human calculator in the world. He continued that his brain calculates quicker than the speed of a calculator. Breaking these records, once held by Math maestros like Scott Flansburg and Shakuntala Devi Bhanu has become the nation’s pride. He humbly said that he has done his bit to place India on the global level of mathematics.” Bhanu at this young age is the founder of ‘Exploring Infinities’, an educational start-up that seeks to impart mathematics lessons to school students across India, in regional languages and make brain training a popular culture.

The judges were fascinated by his speed, the 20-year-old said, “I won the gold medal with a clear margin of 65 points. The judges were so spellbound by my speed, that they required me to perform more calculations to confirm my accuracy.” Bhanu Prakash also spoke about his vision of creating “VISION Math” labs and how he wants to reach out to millions of children to make them fall in love with maths.

RVD TUTORS congratulates Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash for his absolutely extraordinary performance at the MSO competition. The 20-year-old has set up an amazing benchmark and has rightly become the Pride of Nation. RVD Tutors will be grateful if this article has helped you. A Ray Of Hope Unlock 4 gives permission to reopen partial schools for classes 9-12.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has twitted https://mobile.twitter.com/MoHFW_INDIA/status/1303335899426512896/photo/1saying that schools will reopen for Class 9 to Class 12 from September 21. The ministry said that students of these classes can come to school on a “voluntary basis. By voluntary basis, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare means that it won’t be a compulsion for all the students. Students who wish to attend schools can attend these classes offline. However, the online classes and assessment will be taking place throughout the year until the pandemic situation comes under control. This is the unlock phase 4 wherein permission to reopen schools in uncontaminated areas has been granted.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has allowed schools to reopen for resuming the face-to-face method of learning from September 21. The ministry has issued a set of guidelines for holding these classes. These guidelines will be as an outline with regards to how the classes should be conducted? what safety measures one should follow?. These guidelines will be mandatory to follow in all schools wherever students will be volunteering to attend classes. These guidelines are termed as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). “This SOP outlines includes various generic precautionary measures to be adopted in addition to specific measures to be taken when schools are permitting students (from 9th to 12th class) to attend schools in All States and Union Territories. These guidelines are expected to comply with the COVID-19 related guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.”

The Ministry of Health took to Twitter to announce this development. It said that students will be allowed to take face to face guidance from their respective teachers once they go to school. It also stated that SOP guidelines are mandatory to be followed by every school. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has also issued social distancing guidelines including the use of face masks, maintaining six feet distance between students, following respiratory etiquettes, installation of Aarogya Setu application “wherever feasible” and prohibition of spitting. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has rightly taken this decision so as to support the students who don’t have access to digital media and due to which are getting deprived of their basic right, right to education. By continuing online and offline mediums of schools it’s going to be easier for the students to ask their queries face to face to their respective teachers. A very innovative decision has been taken by The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare by keeping the school open on voluntary basis giving liberty to students whether to attend or not keeping in mind all the safety measures. The decision is very appreciable because many students are going to be benefited. It’s a very thoughtful decision which has not only thought about opening schools but also has prescribed overall safety measures guidelines so as to prohibit the spread of COVID 19. However, the guidelines also mentioned that online and distance learning shall continue to be in operation and is encouraged. The educational institutes across the country have shifted to online mode to continue the teaching-learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic.

RVD TUTORS supports this thoughtful decision of The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. While keeping in mind all the safety measures and precautionary measures, we at RVD TUTORS have started providing offline and online coaching to all the students all age groups.
