25% reduction of syllabus for classes 1st to 12th now officially announced by Maharashtra Government.
Good News hitting the students door!!!!!!!
As we all know many states have reduced the syllabus for the current academic year due to the ongoing coronavirus Pandemic. Following states like Harayana and Uttar Pradesh have already announced the reduction in the syllabus. Maharashtra government has also finally officially announced the reduction in portion. The Maharashtra Government had earlier cancelled all the final year examinations but according to the verdict passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay final year examinations will be held in the first week of October and the same has been notified to the students. Along with this, The Central Board of Secondary Education had taken the decision of reducing the syllabus of the students of class 9-12 on 7th July 2020 due to the delay at the beginning of the new academic year.
Later Maharashtra government also decided to reduce the portion and the same proposal was put forth before The Maharashtra State Council for Education Research and Training. The Maharashtra State Council for Education Research and Training accepted the proposal and decided to reduce 25 percent syllabus for classes 1 to 12. The same was twitted by Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad saying that due to the COVID 19 pandemic this decision was necessary to be taken. The decision is now officially approved and announced by the Education Minister through her tweet. By reducing the syllabus the burden of online studying will be lessened and students can study important and prescribed syllabus making it less stressful for the students. The Maharashtra Government has also launched 4 new YouTube channels for encouraging the students those studying in Marathi and Urdu medium.
These YouTube channels have targetted class 1st to 10th. These channels are made so that students can easily study their subjects in their medium. These YouTube channels have mainly focused on to be an assistance to the students studying in Marathi and Urdu. This YouTube channel is an asset to the students of Marathi and Urdu medium. Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad said that these channels are currently made in Marathi and Urdu but will shortly expand to English and Hindi.
